Shane Hamlin is the Co-Director of Elections for the Washington Secretary of State’s Office. Since 2007, Shane has overseen the programs responsible for the state voters’ pamphlet, voter education, federal and state voter registration services, the state voter registration database, online voter registration, voting systems certification and MyVote. Shane is also responsible for the Elections Division budget.
From 2004 to 2007, Shane was the Legislative Liaison and Executive Policy Assistant for the Secretary of State. Prior to joining the Secretary of State’s office, he was a policy analyst for the Washington State Senate Republican Caucus, where he worked in elections, general government and higher education policy. Shane received his Master’s in Public Administration from the Evans School of Public Affairs at the University of Washington and his B.A. in Government from Eastern Washington University. Shane resides in Olympia with his wife and their two children.
